As you may have noticed, I'm more of a create my own caftanI prefer choose my fabrics and have my dress sewn at my Khiata's house so I could have a unique model.

So to begin with, can you give some advice for those who are afraid to pay online?
The first advice I can give you is to check if the site offers a payment method via a bank.
Not that Paypal is not safe, that's fine too, but setting up a payment through a bank brings a credibility to the site.
That is, credibility?
To be able to propose the payment via a bank, you need a professional account, therefore to have a SIRET number and to be a Company, so in case of problems you can be sure that you will be able to attack directly this one. On the other hand by choosing Paypal you can find yourself paying Mr X or Mrs Y...

Know that it is not a gift that we make you, it is your right, you have at least 7 days to return your dress.
This is your right in France, so make sure the site you are buying from is based there (look up the address, phone number, etc...) click on the image below to see your rights.
There is another question that often comes up is the delivery time, will I receive my caftan on time!!!
Most of the sites that offer the sale of caftan online in France uses the Post Office and the Colissimo 48H offer (delays in working days) but to be sure to receive your dress in time I advise you to count 3/4 days, because between the time of your order, the time that the store prepares your package and brings it to the Post Office it can take a day ...
After some stores offer the Chronopost 24H (at home the next day before 13H), it is often 15€, 20€ more but sometimes it is better to pay them to avoid a bad surprise ...
Precisely for the prices there is another question which returns often about the expenses of delivery, why no site proposes the same price?
As you can imagine we all pay the same fees and they are calculated according to the weight of the package (between 1 and 2 kg for a caftan or a takchita)
Then what we charge to the customer depends on the policy of each store, for example we offer free delivery (for shipments in France) because we do not want the price of delivery to be a brake for the purchase.
The advice I can give you is not to pay more than 10€...
Well I think that now we are at the point for the delivery, still a small thing, often the dresses are sublimated by the photos, and quality level we are afraid to find ourselves facing a bad surprise!
Be lucid, if you buy a Takchita at 150€ or a cheap caftan at 100€ don't expect to have a high fashion dress... Everything has its price.
Read the descriptions to avoid surprises (the color of the dress can be misleading on a photo)
I am often asked to give a "suitable" price for the purchase of a caftan, you who are in the business what do you think?
I can't answer this question because there is no right price, it's all about value for money.
There are basically two things that make up the price of an outfit, the sewing, and the fabric(s).
There are two product lines on the market for two different customers:
Dresses from the Souk that we buy in bulk, the quality of the sewing and the fabric is average, but then we can sell a caftan or a takchita at a reasonable price (between 100€ - 200€)
Then those that are made by a stylist, which implies a workshop, a better finish, so we go to more than 150 € for a caftan and from 250 € for a takchita and it can rise very quickly (2000, 3000 € ..)
I understand we don't all have the same wallet 😉 one last tip for the road....
I will say don't hesitate to contact the site, via the phone number or email (there is always a contact tab), there is nothing like having someone advise us in person, and then if no one answers after the 2nd call or 2nd email forget it, if they don't answer for a purchase, they will answer even less for a refund 😉
At the same time, don't hesitate to ask for a discount (like a coupon), it doesn't cost anything and in times of crisis it works quite well...
