Isn't it said that "behind every great man is a woman"?
Well it is so that behind each Caftan hides a model, they are those who sublimate our Caftans and yet we speak little...
Transparent as ghosts during the shows, they go forward, the spotlight on the prestigious fabrics and the glittering pearls that cover them, they advance along the catwalk, we almost forget that they are the ones who do everything.
The slender silhouette, a perfect body, the piercing look in the distance, the precise step, they execute their choreography to perfection and try not to attract attention with a fall that would tense the assembly.
So today I would like to focus on these women who are indispensable to the world of fashion, our beautiful models who sublimate the Caftans that we wear or dream of wearing...
I receive a lot of requests from young girls who would like to enter this very closed and strict circle, it seems to me that this profession makes more than one of you dream...

With this craze of the CaftanAll the events related to it take on considerable importance.
We see more and more castings being born, giving the opportunity to young talents to express their creativity, and to try their luck in the modeling world.
I am thinking in particular of the last casting of the Elite Model Look Morocco 2014 Tour which went in search of young models all over Morocco, in Tangier, Agadir, Rabat, Marrakech and at the Morocco Mall in Casablanca last May.
400 candidates in the running, 10 girls and 9 boys selected to participate in the National Casting at Sofitel Casablanca.
We congratulate in passing Fatema Zahra S. and Chahm Habiballah who won the titles.

The lucky winners will represent Morocco at the international finals on December 2nd in Shenzhen, China... AND YES IT IS DREAMING!!!
But without expanding on modeling in general my initial goal was to tell you about Caftan models.
And I can only start this article of Caftan Model by telling you about the very prestigious...
Caftan Model : Leila Hadioui
Ahhh Leila Leila, I could write a whole article about her so many things to say ( doable if you're interested 🙂 ), eh yes when we say that a woman is good at doing several things at once, Leila is the exception that proves the rule!

In addition to a physique that would make many jealous, she is a TV host, actress and model.
Three exciting jobs that she manages to perfection.
To summarize her journey in a few words, she was selected at the age of 17 to participate in a fashion show organized by LaSalle College in Casablanca, which spotted her and encouraged her to start a modeling career.
Since then, she has participated in many events, including the "Caftan" fashion shows organized by FDM…
She has worked for just about every designer (of Caftans of course).
Leila compiles this busy life with a family life, she is notably the mother of a little 8 year old Ines ( and she is still a model 😉 )

But it's good I stop with Leila, we'll talk about it again, I promise!
We continue with other girls whose faces you will surely recognize if you follow the Caftan fashion shows ( or my Facebook page 😉 )
Caftan Model : Lamiaa Alaoui
I continue with Lamiaa Alaoui The Moroccan woman finished second in the finals of the Look Model Search 2009 contest.

Lamiaa has since participated in many Caftan fashion shows, as well as many photo shoots...

Caftan Model: Zineb Obeid
Zineb is a great Moroccan personality, and to say she has his portrait on Wikipedia ! (it's not a small thing, anyway)
Zineb is a precocious careerist to say the least, she starts to appear on the small screen at the age of 13 where she shoots commercials.
Then she plays several roles in Moroccan TV movies, for those who have seen the movie "Born somewhere" she plays the pretty Samira 😉

Zineb Oubaid is also associated with Garnier for the launch of their "Color Intensity" coloring product.
But let's not forget her career as a Caftan model that she performs to perfection.

Caftan Model : Amina Allam
If I tell you Amina Allam you will say "she is Moroccan" but if I show you the picture below you will think twice!

Born to a Moroccan father and a Finnish mother, Amina grew up in Casablanca but clearly inherited a physique that comes from her maternal side.
From the top of her 1m83, she has been pacing the podiums for 13 years now.
In 2007, she won the "Mission Fashion" show in Lebanon and then opened her own image consulting business " Look by Amina Allam"

Caftan Model : Hind Sahli
Hind is one of the few Moroccan models to have succeeded in a great career internationally, she was spotted at 18 years by the Elite agency and defiles notably for Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gauthier or Kenzo, however we do not see much on the Moroccan podiums (unfortunately ...)

Other models have also managed to break through like :
- Ibtissam Ittouchane
- Loubna El Bekri
- Fadwa Lahlou
- Ihssane Atif

Here you go girls, for those who dream of entering this world you may know a little more!
And for the others who devour the Caftan fashion shows like me, the faces will surely be more familiar to you now and you will be able to boast about knowing the background of some of them.
In the meantime I say to you very soon inshaalah.
XOXO Ahlam.

Hello,
I find it a pity that the black Moroccan woman is not represented in any newspaper, as if she had no social life! In the century we live in, this is very serious!
Kind regards
your models are beautiful Masha Allah!
