Caftan 2014: Forward ... scroll!

Hello to all the girls!!!

First of all I would like to apologize for this long silence ... after a few weeks of hibernation in search of inspiration I'm back trying to face this freezing cold and return to the front of the stage to share with you the latest news and fashion exclusives!

So to begin, I accompany my return with good news, yes it's been a little over a year since I announced the edition Caftan 2013 under the theme of Women Legends.

In summary (for those who have not read the article on this subject), the "Caftan" event is THE event not to be missed.

Created at the same time as the magazine Femmes du Maroc, it brings together fourteen established designers each year, as well as two young talented designers, all selected from among a hundred or so applications received from all over the world.

In short, a show that is worth seeing and that gives the LA to the style to follow for our next purchases ... at least almost, because the Caftan exceeds Morocco, its country of origin and escapes around the world, so some "abusive trends" rub off on it and give rise to Caftans a little too .... "revisited"

It should not be forgotten that the Caftan wants to be the ambassador of the culture, the heritage and the Moroccan tradition and it is a dictate not to be neglected.

But back to our sheep....oyé oyé that the Lord of the Rings and other Hobbit populations cling to their armor, Caftan 2014 lands to lay siege!!!

You will have understood (or not lol), this 18th edition will take place under the theme "Splendors of empires".

But why did you choose this theme?

It would seem that history and travel would be a way to make us discover or rediscover the origins of our country, our own history as well as that of all the neighboring populations who sometimes had a decisive role to play, the watchword :

Conquering the world, in the image of past civilizations, in the image of the goal that the Caftan of today has imposed itself.

We can't wait to discover the overflowing creativity of these 16 selected stylites, 112 outfits and several hours of shows to make us travel through time...

But we could already start to wonder which stylists could be present...

Mohamed Lakhdar who had dazzled us with his baroque Caftans?

The question remains unanswered.

What about the designs? over-size shoulders? gray-brown color as a reminder of the era? maybe white or blue as a reminder of Greece?
